I'm glad I hadn't heard the "plot" before I found out it was cancelled. Recalled toys? What kid knows about those?

Really. It would be like making a movie for kids that deals with trade disputes and political infighting..

Jim Hill has a great article today about what John Lassitter did in one day at both Feature Animation and WDI. I know many here don't beleive Jim most of the time, but I have known him for years and usually what he prints is on the mark. This article is very interesting and worth reading.

I found the idea of attractions and movies coming out together rather interesting. Since I don't think they can make new attractions as quickly as movies, it seems this will usher in the era of the ride re-themeing. Like the example of Autopia being themed to cars. What other attractions might that happen to? What if the movie sucks?

I'm okay with that risk. With greater risk comes greater reward. Remember, Sleeping Beauty Castle was built before the movie came out! I would hope that having the capitol invested in an attraction (or attraction re-theme) will translate into motivation for the studio to ensure that they put out something that doesn't stuck (especially with the same person at the helm of both putting his ass on the line).

I think that a good attraction is a good attraction whether the movie it's tied to is a classic, a flash in the pan, or even crapola.

When I'm at Disneyland, I love the "Third Man on the Mountain" ride.
