I didnt mean to kill a thread. This tread for me went something like this:
Ponine roams LoT, looking for new posts..
Oh... a new thread... called "10 more good reasons to get laid " hmm... No, not for me.
I'm insulted by the thread title, and I know better. Let the fun loving LoT'rs have at this one.
It's no huge secret that I'm one of the less verbal, and the more prude like around here.

A few hours later... an IM
LoT poster: Hey, did you read Jack's thread?
Me: oh god no, I dont need to be in that thread.
LoT: awwww.. you should... read it.
Me: No, really, its not a Ponine thread.
LoT: Come on , read the thread.
Me: Fine, for you I will read it.

Minutes later.. yeah, I didnt need to be in that thread.
My apologies for dragging the thread down, please, someone, come in and perk it back up!

as far as dragging it down, eh. it was one of those that was destined to be short lived anyway.

I'm actually on EH's page here. I think that maybe it's inferred that it means "get laid all the time, any time, by whomever will do it with you." but I don't think that's necessarily what it's promoting. It's just a funny way to present what science is slowly proving to be true, at least to an extent. The sex they're prescribing can be in a long-term committed relationship, as well, and I think that's key to remember. I also think it's important to know that many of the effects are psychological... and can be so in a good way, should the circumstances be right.

Personally, I find that when I'm in a committed situation, having good sex can make me feel good about myself. This feeling good isn't dependent on the other person, but I gotta face the facts: being desirable to someone else does bring up the happy quotient. Being happier means being healthier, and when you find that - from sex to hobbies to sex as a hobby - to whatever - then that's a good thing, no matter what.
