That was fun. I think that's my last camp out at The Hub Fireworks Spot for a while, though. It was awesome seeing it from there, but man, it's a serious pain. I learned a lot about which shoes people wear to Disneyland, and it's not a complete camp out until gets up and directs traffic.

I really dug The Lounge. Swanky decor, I approve.

'Twas a nice way to spend an evening.

Yeah, but I just had to see it once from there, and it was a fun Christmas Eve thing where I could pretend the masses of people there were there to share the coming of Christmas ... somehow different than the masses that are there every other night.

But Holiday Believe is much more Castle-centric than even Remember. There's that shooting gallery stuff and the double whammy sparkly explosions of gloriousness. And so many "front" fireworks that they don't even let anyone sit in the area leading to the drawbridge (where you can sit for Remember).

I usually see the show from the small world hill. No crowds and absolutely HUGE fireworks. But Xmas Eve called for something special ... and I agree it's the last campout for a while. Sheeesh!

Still and all, a very pleasant Christmas Eve with friends at the Christmassiest Place on Earth.

Cheers.

I never realized how many un-interesting shoes there are on the earth!

It seemd a chore camping out as we did, but when Believe began, all of the crowd-stress and ugly shoe viewing faded away. It really is a show to be seen from THE spot.

Besides, we got to ride the Carousel!

Okay, what is 'The' spot?

I am laughing trying to figure out how you did this 'show viewing'. Were you sitting down and watching all of the shoes go by you? Poor Lisa! I know you love shoes. What you must have had to endure!!

It all sounds like a lovely evening was had.

We didn't intend on being at Disneyland for Christmas Eve, it just happened that way.

We did get to go wish Rod Serling a happy birthday at Tower (both freakin' times our picture ended up in another dimension, though).
We got to see the inside of Space Mountain lit up (got stopped at brake zone 11 - great view).
Even the turnstiles went 101 for us
No Death Cruise on The Columbia, though - we settled for a lap on the Mark Twain.

Space went down on Sat. as well. What's up with that ride lately??

I wish I could have made it, but I had a great time on Sat. instead with my mom and daugter. It has been about 4 years since I was there with the DD, she has not had an AP that long. It was the first time since then that she saw Christmas and the Belive fireworks in that long!

I'm glad I was there both Saturday and Sunday, because I got different bits of Christmas each day.

Saturday - - bobsleds down the icy slopes of the majestic Matterhorn for the first time in months. One Tomorrowland, one Fantasyland. Not possible on Sunday (partial 101). Fantastic fireworks from the hill next to it's a small world leading down to ToonTown. The 'werks are simply huge. And fun viewing of the quarter-hour small world Xmas projections spectacle. And snow drifting overhead.

Storybook Land from aboard Casey Jr. Circus Train. Storybook fun on Snow White's Scary Adventures. No attractions that weren't Christmassy.

Intricate study of the towering Christmas Tree. Intricate study of the Christmas Castle reflected perfectly in the complely still waters of the moat. Fun with Swans.

Sunday: Gorgeous fireworks from the perfect "spot" - available only via multi-hour campout. (Psst, the spot is on the curb of the inside circle of the Hub, facing and almost directly across from Sleeping Beauty Castle, a wee bit Tomorrowland of center, so that the Matterhorn is not blocked by trees.) Delicious view of the holiday fireworks via the perfect procenium of every layer, stunningly glorious and uplifting.

Rode the Carousel. No rides that weren't Christmassy. (Ok, no other rides, period). Christmas parade. Fun with Reindeer.

All in all, a weekend of Christmas Time fun at Disneyland. Very enjoyable and, besides being the place where dreams come true ... still the Happiest Place on Earth.

Merry Christmas.
