As many of you know, normally, before anyone can post here, they have to be approved by an administrator. We get new registrations daily, but most appear to bots whose intent is too only post Spam. As a result I deny and delete several new registrations a day. Over time I've developed some criteria:

Some email addresses I delete without any research, many of these have origins in former society countries - sorry about that
If an email looks potentially legit, I may open the profile to review further.
If there is no biographical data entered, I tend to delete
If the birthday is March 28, 1983 - I will delete
If they don't return the registaration email in a quick enough fashion (couple of days) I delete

So, if you know anyone who want to join - send me a PM, or warn them of my scrutiny.

I keep meaning to look into alternates to the image verification system (which the bots have obviously gotten smarter than).
