ARRRRRR! Pirate Master premieres Thursday, May 31

Mark Burnett, the creator of such reality shows as "Survivor" and "The Apprentice" is looking to cash in on the latest pirate trend by creating a new reality series called "Pirate Master", which airs May 31 on CBS at 8:00 p.m. EST.

Looking at the article, it looks like an interesting premise...I just hope it isn't a carbon copy of Survivor.

I actually had a friend that should have video'd in for this. She's really big into pirates (more than anyone I know), think less into history and realism, and way more into fun. Her apartment, pirate swag EVERYWHERE, and has been that way for years... before the whole Pirates of the Caribbean movie thing (that was just icing, for her). She's even has a sizable pirate ship tattoo on her.

Her friend is the assistant to the casting director for this show. My friend didn't get a video done in time.

She would have been fun on the show. Not likely the ultimate winner, but she's pretty, slightly conniving, crazy, and into pirates.

Oh well.

Glad to see it's coming out soon!

Is she fit? I saw a segment about this show on something a couple weeks ago and they were making like the game was in the vein of Survivor and the physical challenges would be out of Eco-Challenge.

If that's not exaggeration, Richard Hatch physiques probably need not apply.

Yeah, we knew how physical it would be, and she wasn't entirely into that.

She's in decent shape. As in, she's not overweight. Not quite a model, but guys go gaga for her looks kind of girl. Not a triathlete. Like I said, there's NO way she'd make it through and win, she'd spend too much time pouting or getting people to do things for her, and eventually that would bite her in the ass - unless she was really good (IMO). But this girl - she can talk people into things - she's a snake charmer of sorts. I don't know how it would play out, but she'd keep things interesting for a while.

I remember seeing an ad for submitting a video for this show on craigslist and on cbs.com... it might be cool?
