Steve Jobs takes a $1 salary again

Too bad Eisner and Gates can't/won't follow his lead. I am curious to know where the money he isn't taking in salary is going too. |

Except that with stock options and the jet he got, his compensation has been (averaged out over the last few years) $19-$22 million per year.
His $1 salary is just a publicity stunt.

It said that he canceled his options for last year, though he does already have ten million shares and 2.6 billion dollars, so he’s not exactly hurting. However, considering how he’s led Apple’s stock into the stratosphere, that’s a lot of cash he gave up that he definitely earned. And, publicity stunt or not, I think it's a lot better than, say, making him a multi-billionaire while he mindlessly runs his company into the ground and generally flushes all of its assets down the toilet.
