Saturday, Nov 10: KOOP return to Los Angeles in a unique downtown setting

89.9KCRW presents a bossa:nova and Learn About Wine production: Sweden's KOOP, back in LA for a triumphant encore performance.

They're taking over downtown LA, with custom one-night-only set design, turning it into a place where the sweetest melody ever swings easy on a faraway beach and the sounds of Forties jazz blend seamlessly with right-now groove. The night also includes live performances by guest artists Mocean Worker and Alice Russell.

Tickets are available now through Ticketweb.com, or, for special PREMIUM and VIP TICKET PACKAGES, please visit www.learnaboutwine.com, and click on the Events & Classes tab for Nov. 10. The Premium Food & Wine Lounge opens at 5pm; the show starts at 7pm.

The show is set at The Barker Block (in the Artist District of Downtown Los Angeles), which is at 510-530 Hewitt Street (between 4th and Palmetto) LA 90013.

Everyone who attended the Koop concert back in August experienced a truly magical night - don't miss them enchant in this unique setting!

Hmmm, the VIP packages don't seem to offer anything VIP about the concert itself. I think we'll skip that, but I've little doubt zapppop and I will be going to this show.

I'm more excited about this show then the previous one!

Mikael Sundin will be the 2nd vocalist! He sang "Tonight" on the 'Waltz For Koop' album and "Let's Elope" on 'Koop Islands'. Since there's a new song called 'Strange Love' (performed by Hilde Louise Asbjornsen) on the new USA Edition of Koop Islands it's possible it'll be performed at this show.

I updated the LoT calendar and bought tickets for myself & innerSpaceman.

Well, I have to stop at home to take care of the dogs in-between. Maybe I'll stop at the zoo to see a Llama.
