Speaking of which, the Gelato Cafe guys have finally returned to this building. I just bought a "California Club" which is basically a turkey croissant sandwich with avocado and bacon (and lettuce, tomato, mayo).

I could go on and on about good gelato, though I have yet to experience it in its place of origin.

Better yet, do they have bacon gelato?

Oh - and I forgot to post in here... I've been on a salad binge, which has included many different ingredients. One such crazy-a$$ed salad had spinach, mixed greens, simple vinaigrette, avocado, garbanzo beans (had a few to get rid of - seemed weird with the later combination, but worked out), grape tomatoes, crumbled bacon, blue cheese, grapes... of which I've decided that the last three make the most spectacular flavor combination I've had in ages.

Simply fantastic.

Mmmm... got my mouth watering with that. I also like that salad that has feta cheese, candied walnuts, and dried cranberries. But there's no bacon in that.

I think it's that whole stinky cheese + sweet + other flavor thing.

Sounds about right, Morri... Sadly, I am out of bacon, though I'll be having a similar concoction, minus the avocado as well, though adding some chicken I cooked up last night.

That's exactly what I had for lunch as well.

Except for the croissant, turkey, avocado, bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo but add veal, breading, Parmesan cheese and marinara sauce.

(Went to Maggiano's for lunch.)
