| 8/30/14 - Disneyland -10k or Bust. | Results from Day-1: Yes. I can walk indefinitly at 1.0 mph and not work up a sweat. Yes. I can do this with out annoying anyone else in the office Yes. I can focus and do real work while walking Total distance walked today: 3.32 Miles. At that rate it will take me 794 days to reach DLR. Working 5 days per week, 49 weeks per year = 245 days / year So around about June of 2010 I will be DLR bound. Hopfully DCA will be cool by then. Oh and there is now $0.32 in my DLR fund.

| 8/30/14 - Disneyland -10k or Bust. | Thanks. Day-2 Update... Another 3.3 Miles today. Not bad for an out of shape geek. I went to the mall to pick up some better shoes. Instead I found some cool inserts, rather like those gel pads but higher end. They use that memory foam stuff. A dramatic improvement in comfort. Also I noticed that I was walking much slower in real life than normal. I'm getting attuned to the pace of the treadmill... I'll have to watch that.

| Kink of Swank | I haven't been keeping up with this thread (and I DO offer my hearty congratulations to Moonliner) .... but I had to drop in when I read in Time today that office furniture maker Steelcase is currently marketing a treadmill equipped with a computer. Um, well. I guess making your own was tons of fun, huh? |

| 8/30/14 - Disneyland -10k or Bust. | Definitly. Oh and making my own saved me over $3,000.000 vs the Steelcase model.

				            | It's funny how an extra zero can make something appear to go from $3,000 to $3,000,000.

| Nueve | Seriously, I thought the same thing. All I was thinking was "Damn, when did Steelcase get so pricey?"

| Beelzeboobs, Esq. | Today was our annual vendor fair (free pens!) and one of the vendors had a treadmill desk. They didn't look amused when I told my companion that I knew of someone who built his own.
