I was really sad when I found out why they had to leave early. The plates are always very hot there, which is great to keep the food warm, but not to the point it hurts people.

Susan just called. The bandages are off and the blisters are mostly gone. Just the pain to deal with. A friend is helping her get around right now.

Unless he (the manager) changes his tune about accepting responsibility, we are only asking for compensation for actual out-of-pocket expenses (which is pretty much just deductibles on Emergency Room visit ($100), follow-up doctor visit ($5), and medicine ($10 I believe). I have always felt that we are too litigious as a society and to go for anything more would be hypocritical on our part. Maybe we can score some gift certs for future visits, but other than that, I don't want anything else/

However, if he balks; he will get the full wrath of TWO vicious lawyer friends we have!

This plate was WAY too hot to be putting on a table.

We've been to Mexican food places before and they are always diligent about warning people about plates. There was no such warning until after she burned herself.
