Gary has been begging me to make sour dough starter so he can have sourdough pancakes. I'd love the recipe too, please.

Our new bakery had bacon and cheddar bagels, so we bought two. They are very good, with big chunks of bacon.

The first thing you need to make the sourdough pancakes is the sourdough starter. You usually get this from a friend or neighbor, though there are ways to make it from scratch (some recipes even cheat and add lemon juice! ). But keep in mind that sourdough is a live culture and needs to be cared for constantly.

I found that after making sourdough pancakes from scratch for over 10 years, I liked Aunt Jamima even better, and it was a whole lot easier.
