Gogol Bordello at the Mayan - June 21
Ooooh, my favorite dance-till-it-hurts band, Gogol Bordello, will be playing the splendiforous Mayan Theater in downtown L.A. on June 21 and 22.
That's a double whammy of excellent. Tickets go on sale here at Ticketbastard tomorrow (as of this writing), Sat. May 22 at 10am. I'm leaning towards the Monday show because I can somehow picture it as part of the preceding weekend. Tuesday is just too middle of the week, but if there's a general preference for either - expressed by early tomorrow morning - I could go with any flow. |

HI!
|
We were talking about it last night. I love seeing this band live - they are definitely a "dance till you hurt" band. I saw them at the Mayan a while back and it's a fun venue. I don't think it is reserved seating (but all GB concerts are streaming together in my head - except the Detour fest event - who could forget that?).

Now that GB has 4 serviceable albums under their jangly Gypsy belts, they can finally skip a lot of their songs and still put on a phenomenal set.
Fun, fun, fun at the Mayan Theater. But though I tweeted 'If this is 50, I'm all for it' while dancing up a storm, I would NOT have tweeted that same thing the day after during after-effects. I'm old. I just don't know it in time. |
