Related News: Kickstarter is getting a bad rep with another group of friends... Apparently the Kickstartees in a couple of kickstarters have not fulfilled the promise stated.

It seems like uneven cooking would be a problem with more ornate designs.

Yeah, it sucks when that happens, out of curiosity do you know what projects they backed that did not work out for them?

Just now getting back to reading this thread...

I'll have to check with the couple of folks that posted about it, but I've seen it happen before, though thankfully on nothing I've supported at least as of this time. In the bits of discussion I've read, the ones being mentioned were "Let's make a movie" type projects. That kind of fail puts a shadow on those that are kickstarting with full understanding of how to execute and deliver on their projects.

I feel for those tech projects that fail to foresee certain aspects of fulfillment, or when bad sh*t just happens to people... I'm sure they're disappointed, too. Like, they just made all this sh*t and... now what? I always try to read up on how they intend to fulfill since that is sooo scary to put in that kind of fundage... and time... just to fail at the critical moment.

Model kits to make working accurate reproductions of historic technologies.

Starting with Bell's phone.
