I take that comment to mean that I've crossed some sort of line with posters here on this board - not CP in particular, but many, based on the word "people's". Have I established some sort of poor reputation here?

I was just messing around. If I've annoyed people here by being silly, I'll gladly pay penance of posting 1000 consecutive times in the "you must post" thread to raise the ratio.
