Disneyland in August?

It's looking like a distinct possibility I may be at Disneyland this August. A friend is relocating from NZ to the UK, and so it seems like a good idea to take a trip (he'll fly via LA and a bunch of us will go for a holiday) to see him off. Probably the second week in August, so it'll be nice and warm

Anyway, it's early days yet, but here's hoping!

But wait, that's this year. I thought it took at leat 16 months to plan these sorts of things. Or is that just Australians?

Heh. It's been in the works on and off for a few months - was supposed to be late last year but with a break-up/moving house a couple times/spending waaaay too much money shopping and going out/etc etc it got put back a few months. Looking good for August though (fingers crossed) - I'm really looking forward to spending time at the Parks in summer again. It's been round Christmas the last couple of times which was awesome, but I'm ready for some serious sunshine again (not to mention late-night martini-fests at the Uva Bar).

We'll probably stay at the HoJo this time (it's really affordable in Kiwi dollars and I quite like it) or if that fails, the Anabella. No Grand Californian this time, unless I win the lottery (but definitely some time in the Hearthstone Lounge - I love it there).

Well, it will be a nice break from the terrible NZ winter but warm it will be. However, it will be FANTASTIC to see you again!

Yeah it would be great to catch up with you guys again - I'm totally looking forward to it. I've decided (so long as I save enough) it's going to be a week of complete hedonism - eat what I want, drink what I want and a lot of shopping. Bliss.

Bliss...yes! We can go to South Coast Plaza, Fasion Island, The Grove, 3rd St Promenade.....oh the possabilities!

Excellent. Funny you should mention it - I've never been to the South Coast Plaza, and I really want to. It looks spectacular (and being the wee consumer-minded person I am, my kind of heaven
