They actually 'fixed' it when it aired. This version that was floating around for the past few weeks shows Marge driving on the "wrong" side, as it was filmed outside of America. The version shown on Fox flipped the picture.

If I remember correctly, this promo was used in commercials & tagged onto the beginning of this season's premiere episode but only aired in the UK. Notice the british license plate on the car.

It was last weeks opener.
From what I heard (sorry, don't have a link) it was created for the UK release of the latest Simpsons DVD set. Interestingly, when Fox aired it, they "airbrushed" out Homer's butt-crack as he's entering the house. |
