So.. if a drop happened did the droppers see the people on the beach? Though it happened during the day it would be kind of hard to miss all the stuff and people on the beach, and the smoke from the fires.

Has anyone figured out how many days they have been on the island?

And what hatch are Zeke and his gang hanging out in. Do they have blast doors too? Or do they know the droppers and if they do know the droppers would they tell them about the Losties?

I thought of the Wizard of Oz connection as soon as he said his name was Henry Gale. I love that the guy on the ID was black. They just love "surprising" us with interracial casting that always makes me realize my own biases.

Did anyone else notice how fast Jack and Kate discovered the parachute, Sawyer, Sayid and Charlie? It wasn't a days walk.

The hot air balloon was in the trees, and pretty well up there. The parachute and drop were on the ground in a different location. Anna-Marie, Sayid and Charlie were on their way back to camp and they probably also saw the light beacon on the drop, which is why they met Jack and Kate there.

I love that this show is designed for the internet/Tivo generation, with clues (like the map) obviously MEANT to be copied and posted for everyone to theorize on. Bravo.

I go to a Lost themed message board and while I have never posted there, there are some serious, serious fanatics. I went there after the episode last night to read what people were saying about it and the diagram had already been posted with the difficult to read words typed up at the side and the latin translations as well. In AZ at this time of year (due to no daylight savings time switches), it is over only an hour after it is over on the east coast.

Thanks. I didn't notice the difference and thought the hot air balloon had the Dharma food in the basket. I drew some wrong conclusions from that. I think I need to watch the episode again.

Dang, I KNOW one of those forumlas, but I can't recall exactly what it is. Something to do with the measure of gravitational force from the earth on a body, or something of that nature.

One is the equation for the strength of a dipole magnetic field (according to one source I've seen).

The one in the upper right, just below "Credo Nos in fluctu eodem esse"? That would make sense, as gravitational and electromagnetic formulas have the same structure.
