There are two similar emails on Snopes: one was originally true, and the other was false.

Her reply would seem to imply that it was real and the dogs now have good homes.

It would - but given that my friend posted the exact same email 2 days before last Friday indicates this email has been out there for a while-no clue why, it's odd.
