We had a volunteer day through my company, also in conjunction with National Youth Service Day. I lead a project to plant flowers and do yard work at a group home for people with physical and mental disabilities. We (myself and the HS student volunteers) planted flowers that will encourage butterflies and birds to visit. It was great weather and a wonderful way to have a day away from the office while helping some people.
