My company's not doing as well as last year, and is - like me - a few bad months away from financial disaster.
I'm not worried about being laid off unless the company goes under -- since I'm the ONLY EMPLOYEE LEFT ... but I don't know if we'll survive the year or not. Despite being 3 or 4 paychecks away from disaster at any time, I feel comfortable in my financial condition and situation ... but alarmed at the situation of friends and others. This is not a joke: If things continue to slide, we SHOULD work seriously toward the LoT Commune. It's the way of the less bleak future. |
