Escondido?!

It would appear my Stepmother has booked a trip for her and my Dad to Escondido. They are staying at the beautiful Lawrence Welk resort, her words not mine. I just keeping thinking about bubbles

My Dad is not thrilled. So he asked my advice on what to do. We didn't really travel that far up the coast from San Diego, so I told him the Wild Animal Park was pretty cool. I thought he was a little old to go to Legoland


Is there anything great for old people to do up there? Any not to miss sights or places to get a great bite to eat? I'd like if my dad could at least have a little fun on his vacation, it's not like they get away from my nephew very often! It's also almost the only time he gets to eat good food.

Thanks for any ideas you might have. I'm going to go check out trip advisor.
