My daughter's best friend (who we no longer live near) gave birth this morning. She's 17. She is giving the baby up for adoption to a lovely couple who can't have children.
She posted a photo of him and it made me cry. I can't imagine giving my baby away to someone. Adoption is the best solution in this situation and is one that my daugther encouraged her towards. (as well as getting rid of the scummy fauther but we can't win them all.) I'm so glad it's not my daughter in this situation. What an incredible thing for this childless couple. They've been through this once before and had the baby for 3 months and somehow the mother was able to change her mind and take the baby back. I can't even imagine.
