I'm going to go out on a limb and guess "shockingly out of place" was a large part of his concept there and call that a success.

As for Dismaland - it's interesting, but for the most part from what I've seen it's mostly ho-hum. Nothing particularly groundbreaking, just a mish mash of outsider/anti-establishment/anti corporate noise. Nothing wrong with that, but I haven't seen anything in the coverage that really blows me away. Heck, one of the installations is a large sculpture piece that was at Coachella 6 or 7 years ago, hardly ground breaking. That said, while there were a couple individual pieces that caught my eye, particularly as a Disney fan. The message of this one is obvious (and admittedly overplayed), but the execution is really good: https://vine.co/v/eDbgz9vPQJl And this one wins for the most obscure legitimate Disneyland reference: https://vine.co/v/eDbngwOpX9z
