The snorkel and float rentals can just be rented on the island itself. The only thing I'd bother reserving in advance are the speciality things like parasailing, etc.

I'd also recommend bringing your own snorkel gear, because Disney wants $25 just to rent it. It's flat enough to pack, and you can get it for about $10-$15 in most places, and then also use it in all ports.
