I'd go for it, but I know a lot of people who wouldn't care for the traditional environment at all. Sleeping on a tatami mat. No TV in the rooms. All the rooms sharing a single shower and bathroom (though it does appear they have American-style toilets). Sharing the room with a stranger if you're by yourself. So for them they'd probably think $28 was too much.
