Among women I've had the issue of word selection up with boobs has generally been much preferred to tits.

I agree that boobies sounds infantile but I really only use the word ironically or when being silly (and I think the infantilization is more of the person saying the word than the person the word is said of).

Lani and I have a code phrase used for indicating noteworthy breasts are in the area. But I can't share what it is since then it would no longer be a code.
