MELBOURNE, Australia - Leo the pooch is a hero. Leo risked his life to save a litter of newborn kittens from a house fire.
Firefighters had to rescue Leo when the dog refused to leave the 4-week-old kittens he was guarding.

The dog had to be revived with oxygen and heart massage after firefighters rescued him.

The kittens also survived. See the video on the left of the brave dog.

The kittens, Leo, the kitten's mother and their family have been reunited.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
