I do participate in a few different Disney-related boards, so for some things, I post the same information to all of them. While some people are on one or more of those boards, there are also many people who pretty much stick to one or the other. I posted the fireworks thread on 4 boards, and I've been really interested in the differences in responses that have been posted. Not that one is better or worse than another, but points of view are different, and I like reading everyone's thoughts. I know there are others who participate on multiple boards as well, and I see duplicate threads posted on multiple boards as well. If I'm not interested, I'll skip them. If I am interested, I will either pick one board in which to participate on that particular thread or I might even participate on that same thread on multiple boards. I'm not sure I understand how you can be overwhelmed by cross-postings - there's nothing for you to do but skip past what doesn't interest you. If it really bothers you, then just put me on ignore, and you won't have to deal with it.
