Actually, my ex gf was always seeing comments I made to other people's status updates - people she was NOT friends of. I was always confused by that - but maybe it's because she unwittingly had "my" friend setting set to "all," despite the default being "most."

I haven't yet switched everyone to "all" from "most" - and I'm doing that on a case-by-case basis as I think of it. But I've yet to see any comments by friends on "strangers" status updates.

I suppose that's the whole point of that "chatter box" thing which I deleted yesterday as an annoyance.

On the other hand, I like the Timeline concept for the new profiles. But who goes to anyone's profile anyway?
