Reign of Terror - Thousand Oaks - EXCELLENT Haunt!

Hey all,

Tonight, Rose and I ventured to a haunt we'd heard about, but hadn't been to yet. The Reign of Terror at Janns Marketplace in Thousand Oaks. It's in kind of an unexpected spot, for such a well done attraction - it's upstairs from Gold's Gym. There's no big fancy facade- but once you head upstairs, you're immediately in a perfectly dark indoor as outdoor setting, with scary sounds, a full moon, and building fronts all around the large room that makes up the queue area.

The set design is excellent, and very well executed - reaching Universal Studios quality level at points, and always at least Knott's level.

There is a good variety of types of scares - from mannequins that pop up unexpectedly - to live actors popping up from hiding places as soon as they notice you're looking elsewhere in the room, even a slider flying across a blackened hallway.

There is one moment of clown- sorry, Marla. Also, a pig- for anybody that might have an irrational fear of them (I'm looking at you, Rose ).

It's $13 or $20 with a front of line pass, and they do offer a $5 second visit ticket. Reign of Terror is a not for profit haunt, and the money goes to local teen charities.

Rose and I are going again tomorrow night (Sunday) - we'd love to have you join us. Please pm me here, or email me at coastermatt at gmail dot com, or text me if you've got my number. We're gonna leave from Chatsworth around 6 - if you don't want to drive all the way to Thousand Oaks, we can handle 2 additional people in our car, and you can park at our complex, and ride with us.
