I don't think we want our leaders visiting these shelters saying things like "kid, you lost it all and the way you're living now really sucks".......do we?

Of course not. Some of these kids probably went without food or water for a few days though, among many other hardships. Asking them if they are having fun, strikes me as just a tad insensitive. Maybe it's just me.
