But I gotta say, we were at the Avalon last night (club in Hollywood) and holy sht, now THAT is a place to get a drink and shake your ass on the dance floor. The place is your standard old-theater-reborn with ornate ceilings and balconies with an incredible light set up that threatened to give ME a seizure. The music was rather good and the place was packed...

I'm pretty sure there's nothing like that in OC.

It totally sucked ass to drive back down at 3:30am though. Damn you, wonderful Orange County! I hope we move to Fullerton...
