Computer Frustrations! Techinal Help Needed!

I need computer help! A few weeks ago our internet connection went down..I called Comcast, who tried to "reboot" our modem, and nothing is wrong with the modem. They told me either our eithernet cable was out or the network card was out.

Cable is fine, we hooked it up to the laptop and it's working.

Husband replaced the network card last weekend but it still will not connect to the internet. '

Comcast can't tell us what the problem is.

Any ideas?
