One other cool thing about the ceremony is that it happened right at sunset. As they were doing the hand fasting, bats were flying about in the sky and an owl was hooting in the background.

Earlier in the day, while we were setting up, we found several tiny frogs leaping about the grounds. I had one in my hands and, later, Nephy picked one up. They were adorable!

cool. i thought i might have been the only one WHO heard the owl or saw the bat...


btw, my friend, joie, is franticly looking for her magnetic name "brick"... did it get left behind? if anyone located it, she would really love to have it.

she thinks all of you are such wonderful people and looks forward to seeing you all again sometime soon.

oh, and she thinks the commador is cute!

Check with DF: I know her father went around to all the tables and picked up the strays at the end of the night. That is where we found ours.
