I was inspired by Harold Ford's concession speech last night. He ran a great race, and in an unusually positive way. Boy, I hope those Tennesseans who voted against him listened hard. I think the man has a great political future. (I don't agree with his stance on gay marriage, btw, but I do really agree with a lot of other things.)

I urge you to listen to what he has to say: check it out here. He quotes the Bible-- but just about the best passage I think you could quote in reference to the election process.

Great speech. Bizarre introduction from his old white campaign guy: "Someone who truly deserves to be called Mr. Ford." As opposed to what? "Harold, boy?" The south is a strange place.
