ok, how could the hint not have helped? What was the hint?

Frankly, for using Roadside Assistance, I would expect more than a sly hint. We got that for free on that very same quest from nearly staffers. If we had used the official Roadside Assist, I would have expected much, much more.

(Oh, and when we did try to use our Roadside Assist, it was refused, and we were given EXPLICIT help gratis ... on a quest which I have to imagine the staff itself knew was poorly worded.)
