I just saw your post, CP, and I can't believe you remembered our sign-up woes! I had to come out of my LoT lurking to thank you for that.

I guess we really shouldn't complain about missing MA this time because we were on vacation....Then again, we are still complaining about our dismal performance in the last MA. I'm sure we'll snap out of it by the time the next one rolls around.

So, for those who did play...how was it?

I always enjoy flushing lurkers out! And of course we remember your story - having people recognize us feeds our egos like nothing else.

Like GD said, this game was definitely fun. We even felt good about how we were doing for most of it, which is a rarity.

Highlight - with 15 minutes to go, we find the mouse-ear couple in Fantasyland, and they hand us the second Eye-Spy sheet. In those last moments we found nearly all of them. Great way to end the game.

Definitely an old-school feel, with explicit instructions on most things, which was a nice change from the "wtf is this" we've come to expect. Don't get me wrong, there was plenty of other figuring out to be done.

I'm proud of you guys. I should have remembered that the more iSm complains about something on the board, the more likely it is that he'll participate

I'm so glad you guys were able to participate in MA- I have never been to one, so I depend on these reports for the vicarious thrills. I think I need to plan my next trip around MA; I would be of absolutely no help to any team, but I'm willing to buy a round of post-MA shots.

Before anybody thinks to ask me questions about the game, just want to reiterate that everybody who played now knows more than I do about it.

I never saw any part of the game at any stage of completion.

I'm glad it sounds like it was a lot of fun and I hope I can look forward to Steve being brutally honest and saying that it is now clear that I was more impediment than help.

The 500 person (vs team number) limit made a huge difference for how long tickets were on sale for.

Alex, any idea if this is going to be the status quo going forward?

It hardly makes it worthwhile to hike all the way to the Paradise Pier for the awards ceremony if hardly any of a trillion friends will be there to hang with.

We'll be making that hike because we will probably be going to ESPN Zone to catch the game.

BE - this MA was capped at 500 people. The number of teams was irrelevant. If they do it the same way in the fall you won't be able to wait until the last minute unless you are going to replace someone who has to cancel at the last minute.

Hmm... I wonder what my school schedule will feel like in the Fall. If there ends up being any teams with open spaces at the last minute to give me enough time to figure out if I could handle an MA weekend...
