I learned a lot about Manga today. I had to help restock ten shelves of it. Some of it looks very interesting.

I also found out that I get to check books out like at a library. I currently have the graphic novel '300' and the Walt Disney bio by Gabler on loan for 2 weeks. Pretty sweet.

I also have a 33% discount that I'm thrilled about.


So far, so good. And the best part of all, I found out that our cafe makes milkshakes.

I'll be really impressed if you can finish the Gabler book in two weeks (and get anything else done). Congrats on the new job.

Manga....I think I am familiar with this. They sell out pretty quick, don't they? My son has a couple of sets of {ugh, I don't know, I just pay and pay and pay....}books. He says he reads them. He says they are good.

Currently, what is cool, at school they were reading Tom Sawyer. He didn't remember what it was called and so I asked him a bit about it. He was impressed I knew what he was talking about. Then I told him, 'We have the book at home'. He was really surprised and took it to read.

I also tried to bring it up in his memory about how didn't he remember seeing bits of schtuff on, ahem, 'Tom Sawyer Island'? Now that they are changing it....

Milkshakes....mmmmmm.....

Don't they also sell coffee???

We sell coffee, too.
The Manga section is pretty popular. I think it's because of the drawings of girls showing off their panties in a lot of these books.

I would have thought so, too. I know my uncle's head was jammed pretty far up there - but I thought my aunt had softened over this past year. It's just pretty rough when I see that my aunt is glad to get the money my grandma gives them, and glad to get the help g-ma's boyfriend gives them (fixing all their cars, plumbing problems, etc... saving them headaches and money) - yet can't even let him into their hearts for a minute, and condemn my grandma for wanting to have someone around who will spend time with her, unlike my rather ungrateful family. They only seem to come around when there's stuff to "get." (If you couldn't tell, I'm feeling a little bitter)

I may be ungracious at times, but at least my head isn't up my ass. If I don't have the time or care to spend the time with someone, then I lose my right to be a judgmental asshole. As of right now, and over the course of much of this last year, I've chosen to spend as little time with them as possible - so maybe I should stop being a judgmental asshole, too.
