And I'm going to have to take Alex' side in this, I've always been a little confused by the claws/macaws thing, caws/macaws works so much better.

Darn you! I can't stop singing the song now. And I have never been to the stupid attraction! I've only been to the stupid "Under New Management" at WDW and that one sucked big time. I didn't like it at all.

I wouldn't be surprised if the claws version is correct but then it still needs to be explained because it doesn't make any more sense than the kamikaze version.

Sure, it could be just a random thing to say but I'd prefer there be a reason for it.

Macaws have rather large talons - if you've ever had one on your arm, you would remember it. i think "claws" just rhymes better than "talons".

I think that there is just a bit of nonsense in the whole song. Sometimes there is no logic in creativity.

I think most of you know how many times I've listened in detail to that darn song. It doesn't make as much sense as "caws" and it makes infinitely more sense than anything involving suicidal Nippon pilots.

I've held many macaws and know of their claws. The lyric just doesn't make any sense other than slight aural sense.

So, since there is a perfectly sensible almost identical lyric (in the same vein as the toucan one) I'd be interested to know why the choice was originally made.
