I bought a new waffle maker the other day. We had sourdough waffles this morning. Mmmmmm!

I've decided that "The Way You Look Tonight" is the most perfect song ever. I'm listening to a Frank Sinatra version right now but didn't Fred Astaire sing it in Top Hat?

When Pete Jacobs plays at PBDA they do something magical with this song. During the band break Erin and Tami play records and they'll put on "The Way You Look Tonight" as the band members are gathering back on stage. The band then starts playing the song, taking over for the record, and the sudden burst of full, beautiful sound is wonderful. You can feel the energy in the room rise. Perfect, perfect song. We now return you to your regularly scheduled century already in progress.

I worked again today. It was busy in the morning and then nothing for 2 hours and then busy again until we closed. Wierd.

Boy was with The Old People today. Mom took him to Fashion Bug to buy me something for Mother's Day. I went to Fashion Bug after work, on my way to pick him up. I need(ed) summer clothes that I could wear to work. in less than 20 minutes I had a skirt, scooter and 4 tops. I took them over to Mom's to try them on, the skirt fit great. I was a bit iffy since it didn't have an elastic waist. the scooter was waaaaaaay too big. Nick went with me to take it back. I tried on the size smaller and the next size down. Both fit, but the 1 size down fit better over my tummy so I went with it. I have officially lost 1 pant size since Easter. I also ended up with 2 more skirts and 3 more tops. On a purely bitchy note, I found the 15 pounds I lost. It looks like David has my 15 plus about 10 more. HAH! Tonight I had a nice visit with my neighbors, both next door and across the street. And a major success, Chicken is now entirely outside!!! I placed her cage in the pen and covered it up so she has somewhere to hide. Poohdog is very interested in her, but he can't get to her, so he is whining. |

I was going to bitch about my income tax final and how it sucked, but one of my best friends just called and her folks were in a bad accident and her mom can't move her arms and legs and the neurosurgeon isn't sure she ever will. So now I'm just sad and worried.

			And tater tots. With salt.
