Thanks, its current then.
I used to subscribe to that strip as well, but I let it go when I never got to it enough. Hallmarks of Felinity is one of my faves. (its not in the paper down here, but used to be when I was in Denver.)

So, on the advice of my apt complex, I decided to check my smoke detector. There is a button on the front, apparently, that I can use to test if it's operational.
I held the button down, and it beeped a few times. Is that good? I figured I'd have to replace a battery (since I've been here for nearly 4 years and haven't yet), but apparently it's electric. OK, so that means it hasn't been up there with a dead battery..... ....but when I got close with a flashlight, there are very, very small letters on it that say it won't work if the power fails. What good is that? |
