Melinda's dismissal was shocking, but I admit I was kida hopin' for a Blake & Jordin showdown! Blake makes me swoon like a schoolgirl.

Poor Melinda. She had no demographic bump to push her over. Jordin got the dreamy stage mom votes. Blake got Ally, the tweeners, the Vote for the Worsters and, of course, the votes of all Opus-butted, knock-kneed penguins everywhere. Plus, Simon ran his mouth on Melinda's behalf and once again, America slapped him. It's so unfair. Well, as unfair as this stuff can be.
