No, the canoes are rented at the UW then you have to paddle like mad to get across the lock to the arboretum. The last time I was there I was picking blackberries and feeding them to geese. It was funny to see the whole blackberry descend the throat of the goose.

Pioneer Town has a monthly event called First Thursdays where all of the galleries have their openings. It's a fun event if your timing fits.
