HI!
|
Car head, not egg head
My car got keyed with graffiti last night. It's not deep. But, is there an easy fix? I am NOT going to my insurance, having my car away for 2 weeks while I drive a smoke-filledd pontiac. There's got to be a easier, softer way? HELP ME SOMEBODY!

You could try one of those commercial scratch fillers. Your local automotive store probably has a kit.

Sorry, being a smart ass puts a smile on my face, but sorry, don't have any idea what works best for fixing that type thing.

You could try buffing it out. Or better yet take it to an auto detailer, they will tell you if it's possible to buff out and you can have them do the hard work!

I can take a look at it. If it is not down to the metal...there may be hope...if it is, you'll need to repaint....nothing can be done at that point.

One time, some little punk spray painted gang graffiti on my car. The auto body place simply wiped it off with some solvent they had- hopefully, such an easy solution will be available to you as well! The dealerships usually have small bottles of touch up paint that match your car's color- think that would work?

She said her car was keyed. Since keying scratches the paint and a scratch is the removal of paint, one cannot remove the removal of paint.
![]() Touch-up only really works satisfactorally in small areas, to fill in rock chips for example. It is theoretically possible to airbrush it depending on the size and depth of the scratch. |
