24 minutes until the weekend. awesome Japanese food for lunch soundly quenching a craving Ive had for weeks. (Tempura Udon, Teka Maki and green tea) and nothing between me and home but my air conditioned truck.

yeah, could be a lot worse.

Yeah, it's silly to get excited over it. We moved into this apartment in 1987, stove was not new, was not horrid, but defintely not new.

20 years later, it was disgusting. The old one got removed today, underneath was not as bad as I'd imagined, only took a bit of scrubbing to get the floor clean.

Now I have a brand new, beautiful stove. Baking is in my future, brioche will be first up, I think.

Of course, tonight, I'm ordering thai food to be delivered. I'm craving and I can't bear to pop the cherry on the new stove tonight and get it filthy.

It's the little things, isn't it?

I came home to an empty house and a check for $725. I called Him to question why so little:
"The court only said $725 on the first at fifteenth, no where have I seen that I owe you more."
Me, "The court papers haven't come out yet. In the meantime you didn't pay the July house payment and I can't afford it."
Him, "Don't worry about it, I already took care of it.'

Why couldn't he have told me that before I had a chance to get upset???

The way it works out now, he only owes me for daycare plus maybe another $200. As long as I get the $490 for daycare I will be ok. He said he should have that to me "soon."

Now I get to buy a receipt book...

Our sky is a sickly golden brown from all the smoke from the Zaca fire.
