katiesue~ you are doing the race at Disneyland? I have looked at that but don't think I could do it. Walk/run, maybe. I would like to see if I could do it {how far is that exactly?} but not be too put out if I don't make it.

We were a little annoyed since last years course started at Mickey & Friends so we booked the Disneyland Hotel for the weekend thinking we'd be close to the start. Oh well the walk to Timon will be a good warm up.

That is all sold out, isn't it?
I did a 5K once. It was gruelling, I ran the whole way {a lot for me}. What would get me is running past all of those things. I haven't been running much. Only a mile {in two halves} a day. How are you training in this heat????

Thanks for the links! {I actually may have that magazine...hubby subscribes}
I am not in training for any event in particular. I just want to be able to do it. Confidently. The closest thing I've run recently was what I think to be a 3 mile loop, run walking it. {run 3 minutes, walk 2} completing it in about 35 minutes. I felt good after and really want to do it more. The Disney run sounds perfect. {well, the Disney part }
