Pigeon Protection - Page 2

Aww! Can I have one of those installed on the front of my car? Except instead of water, can it be a monster boxing glove on a spring ala' Looney Tunes? That will be way more effective then water when I'm losing my mind in freeway traffic.

I love our little pigeon friends (I'm a total animal nut!)

However, pigeons can be incredibly nervy if they've been socialized enough with the public.

I once was having lunch with friends at the Saddle Back Ranch Chop House on the Sunset Strip. Since it was a gorgeous afternoon, we decided to dine on the patio. Near the end of our meal as we were waiting for dessert, a pigeon flew down and perched on the top of the only empty seat at our table. It looked as if there were four of us dining- 2 girls, a guy & a pigeon. We gently shoo'd him away, but he returned again & again. We had ordered a piece of chocolate cake for us all to sample, and as soon as it arrived, our pigeon friend returned. This time, however, he stood on our table. We tried to shoo him again, but he wouldn't move. Finally, he flew away, only to come right back and perch on the dessert plate where he immediately started diving his beak into our cake. Suffice it to say, lunch was over whether we were finished or not.

None us of ever did get to sample the cake that day. However, if our little friendly winged cake thief's greedy bites were any indication, it must have been tasty.

oh I sooo want one of these! between the cats poopin in my yard (which the lil dog thinks are doggie-rocca) and that damn possum that comes through, along with the occasional skunk I think I need one. even just for the humor value.

(not to mention it might actually occasionally water my yard)

this calls up a whole other discussion. who would want to 'do' a girl who adverts such a thing in a banner ad anyway?

you'd have to wear the scarecrow in your shorts to keep her cooch vermin off ya

(ok, bad form, but I had to relate it back to the OP somehow

)
