This is cool, that live feed from Fox is showing raw helicopter footage right now, you can hear the pilot talking to them on his radio, telling them he's going for refueling and describing the scene in an honest, nondramatic fashion.

OMG so much fire ! It's a reasonably warm overcast day here - I'm hoping things improve before too long over there !

Los Alamitos Race Track can accept up to 180 horses, but they cannot accept any other type of livestock. Enter the race track at 4961 Katella Avenue in Los Alamitos. Horse owners must bring their own supplies, including food, and will have to care for their own horses. Water is available on site.

I am surprised that the number is so low. Del Mar (San Diego area) has taken in close to 2,000.

It may be Del Mar could accept more because it's not track season there. So the barns were fairly empty to start with.

I've gotten a very long and detailed email from one of my clients about the needs of displaced animals due to the fires. The information is from a email list that was put together to help animals after Katrina. If anyone is interested, send me your email addy and I'll forward it on to you.
