Thank you all for the happy thoughts.

For the first time in my life, I went to Disneyland on my birthday. I got the badge from City Hall and then met Chernabog shortly thereafter. We had lunch at Cafe Orleans and our waitress—without being asked—brought a free beignet for dessert. We headed over to DCA for a free bag of tortillas around 3:30, but when I politely asked if it was true that one could get a bag of tortillas on one's birthday, the grumpy man packing the bags grunted, "Yes, but we're not doing now. Come back after five." Well I needed to be at my parents house in the South Bay at 5:00, so that wasn't gonna happen!

I made it to my folks' house on time and we ate dinner at Claim Jumper. My memories of that place were significantly different from my experience Sunday night. I was rather nonplussed.

Nevertheless, it was a good but exhausting day.
