Thankfully, my coworkers and bosses all understand and I'm not fired. In fact, today I was officially invited to a city council meeting next month to celebrate my 5 years here. They gave me a 5-year pin, and my boss threw confetti at me. I guess I'm easily distracted - as soon as I got the pin my day turned right around.

I did jaywalk today though, and was extra careful of Mini Coopers.
